Your website is one of the most cost-effective methods of reaching international markets. However, it can be a daunting task to have it turned into a multi-lingual website. Our approach
How Word Connection approaches the translation of your website will depend mostly on how the content of your website is managed (HTML, database, CMS, ...). The content to be translated can either be sent to us with all markup language removed (Word, Excel or text file) or we can download your site and then give you a detailed breakdown of the word count for the various files. You may then decide you wish to exclude some unnecessary files (e.g. old news articles). We can then give you a final price for the website translation project.
We are also able to translate directly from the source files. Our software can differentiate between the markup language and the actual content to be translated, meaning you get back a fully operational source file, only with the text in the desired target language.
Translation of graphic elements
Websites are often filled with graphic elements (buttons, illustrations, diagrams, ...) that need to be translated, but cannot be directly altered by the translator. If provided with the source files (.png, .ai, .psd, etc.) we can have them adapted ourselves by a DTP specialist, or we can provide you with an Excel spreadsheet containing the relevant translations for you to have localized yourselves.
